Newark Group Names Nalco Company as Supplier of the Year 2012

The Newark Group today announced that it has named Nalco Company as the recipient of its first Vendor of the Year award for 2012. The Company, based in Naperville, Illinois is a major supplier of chemical products used in the process of papermaking and in the actual paper products produced.
In announcing the award, Frank Papa, President and CEO of The Newark Group spoke to the initiative taken by Nalco to work on a Total Cost of Operations model that resulted in improved cost effectiveness for both Nalco and Newark, and the strength of the Company in working collaboratively with Newark to identify and execute documented cost savings.
"Nalco was among the first of our suppliers to partner with Newark in the pursuit of cost savings processes that resulted in better product and better economies," said Mr. Papa. He added, "The success of our relationship is being strengthened each day as Nalco works with our mill teams to identify new opportunities and establish metrics against which we can measure success."
