Mr. Kohl was elected to The Newark Group's Board of Directors in 1992. He has practiced law as a partner at the firm of Lowenstein Sandler PC since 1962. He served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957, after which he worked at the United States Treasury Department until 1962, first in the Chief Counsel's Office at Internal Revenue Service and then in the Office of Tax Legislative Counsel to the Secretary of the Treasury. Mr. Kohl received a B.A. from Brown University in 1952 and an LL.B. from Harvard Law School in 1955. He serves and has served on several boards of both business enterprises and charitable organizations.
